Free Community clothing swap

We are hosting our first FREE community clothing swap! This is what is considered a “closed” swap - only the people who are registered can donate and shop the swap. The reason we have chosen to do the swap this way is because we want our members to take a moment and slow down and think about their place in the textiles industry. Our clothes have so much life left in them and we are advocating to keep those good-quality items in our direct community. There is currently enough clothing in existence to adequately clothe the next 6 generations - that’s including the 85% of all donated textiles that end up in landfills or incinerated.

Our event will be two hours long and participants are encouraged to stay for the duration of the event. We will mingle with our community members, you will be able to try on items, and we will have people who can provide guidance on how to tailor garments to fit better or match personal styles. We will also have drinks and snacks available.
